MAJO was founded by Alex Aranda and Ligaya Tichy, two design-obsessed mamas who love making art with their kids. Their shared passion for bringing the family together around art and their uniquely complementary backgrounds gave birth to MAJO.
Alex Aranda is an artist, designer and mother based in New York. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Having children brought a renewed interest in art but with a fresh perspective, developing art projects for kids through a subscription art kit called RainerShine (Ligaya was a customer).
